Quick and easy weekend project...

This craft project wasn't for me, or the house, or any friends... it was for RYAN. :) I know. He wanted to get crafty. He is the Safety Manager at UPS, which means that he has to play the role of "bad guy" a lot. He really just has to make everyone follow the safety standards of UPS, but well, we all know what that means.

He wanted to do something to motivate everyone and get them more excited less against the idea of "safety speak" so he came up with an idea for a football trivia game. The drivers will be split into two teams and each morning during their meetings each team will get to answer a safety question. If the team answers correctly, then they can move 10 or 20 yards depending on the question.

So my job (well, if we are being honest, I decided to take over in the creation of  game board) was to create a football field. This was super easy and cheap!

Supplies needed:
Corkboard (medium - large)
Green felt cut to fit
Staples
Clear thumb tacks
Ribbon for yard/goal lines
Numbers for field

Cover the cork board in felt. I just stapled this straight onto the board.

Measure and mark for the yard/goal lines. Cut ribbon to length. I covered the ends of the ribbon in tape so that it wouldn't fray. This also gave the pins something more durable to "stick".

Tack the ribbon to board. I used yellow for the 50 yard line and goal lines.

Add numbers. Done!
This was so simple and would make a cute bulletin board for a little boy that is into sports!

We had a great weekend with a special visit from Pops! Emmy gets extremely spoiled by him...and I think she knows it. :)
