Tiny Tales Thursday...

Radley has taken a keen interest into the rules of driving. He frequently asks what road signs, blinking lights, car blinkers, pylons, etc... mean. He reminds me that you go on green, slow down on yellow, and stop on red.

This week I turned right on red - clearly an acceptable practice.

Radley: Mommy - you can't go on red.
Me: Radley, you may turn right on red.
Radley: Oh. Why?
Me: Poor attempt at explanation - suffices Rad
Radley: Oh. Well, Pops went straight on red.
Me: Really? When?
Radley: When he was following you. It turned red and he kept going.
Me: Really?
Radley: Yes. But there were no police officers around so he said it was ok.
Me: Really?
Radley: Yes. He always runs yellow, but this time it was red.

Oh the eyes of the child. They see everything, huh?

And Pops - be a little more careful next time. :)
